This workshop emphasizes building a strong safety culture by understanding human behavior and addressing safety risks. Participants will learn about the role of leadership, employee involvement and human factors in creating a safer workplace. It highlights how safety culture and human factors contribute to safety, focusing on leadership, communication, motivation, training and ergonomics to prevent errors and enhance safety.
Pat McLoughlin is an experienced HSE professional, having worked in the field for over 40 years. During those 40 years.
Pat has worked in 56 countries, with various companies and Governments, across many business sectors, including, the obvious and perceived high risk; oil and gas, construction, nuclear power, civil engineering, transport, but also the less obvious and perceived low risk; hospitals, catering, universities and retail.
Exposure to such a wide range of workplaces has gifted Pat with a very broad understanding of the influence of humans on their own safety, the safety of others and the safety performance and culture of the business they work within.
During the session, Pat will discuss some of his experiences, highlighting problems and solutions facing managers and business leaders daily.
Pat will use various case studies and short videos, some well-known and others a less so, to illustrate and expand upon the learning experience, understanding of the subject, attendee experience and importantly enjoyment of attendees.
